The Pax Autocratica roadmap exists in two forms: standing commitments from the Steam Early Access answers, and the developer's "State of the Frontline" report of August 13, 2026. This page tracks only written official statements: every item below cites its source announcement. The launch-day post of August 10, 2026 also carried a roadmap image; images cannot be text-verified, so this page links to the announcement. What this wiki read in that image is recorded below, clearly labeled as an image read.
The standing Early Access commitments
From the developers' Early Access answers on the Steam store page:
- The Early Access period is expected to last about two years, adjusted for development progress and player feedback.
- The price will increase when the game leaves Early Access.
- Co-op is a planned major feature of the Early Access period: the developers describe it as a key feature they intend to develop during Early Access.
No full-release date has been announced.
Four high-priority work streams
The "State of the Frontline" report (August 13, 2026) names four areas the developers marked as high priority and already in progress:
- Capture and prisoner conversion: the current experience lacks depth and can be frustrating; the developers are reworking the whole loop.
- Expedition variety: addressing repetition by improving variety, pacing, and rewards, and reducing grinding.
- Soldier behavior and battle controls: better following, positioning, and target selection.
- Guidance and clarity: some mechanics, interfaces, and objectives are explained poorly; improving them is a stated priority.
Under investigation
The same report lists work the developers describe as being worked on or investigated: mod support, co-op, male and female soldier visual differences, stylized avatars, more customization options, player camera height, and a Steam Deck virtual-keyboard issue (that keyboard issue has since been fixed, in Directive AG-25 on August 25). "Investigating" is not a promise: treat these as possibilities, not commitments.
The launch roadmap image: a dated read
This wiki's August 17, 2026 reading of the launch-day roadmap image recorded three named Early Access targets: online co-op, deeper colony relationships, and sectors 3 and 4. Because the source is an image, none of it can be text-verified: the announcement carries the original, and where the image and the written statements above disagree, the written statements win.
The August 25 what's-next list
Directive AG-25's announcement closed with a dated list of what is already on the developers' radar: a hide-HUD option for cleaner screenshots (planned for the next update), vehicle improvements (planned, with no date attached), a broader Trade Port update (in the works), and DX12 preloading entering its next testing phase in the next update. It also restates that the larger August 13 topics (combat repetitiveness, capture and conversion, soldier AI, progression) are still being worked on. Planned is not shipped: read this list as dated intentions, not commitments.
Two of those intentions have since shipped: Directive AG-27 (August 27) delivered the hide-HUD option and the first slice of the Trade Port update (item selling at the Trading Post). Vehicle improvements and DX12 preloading remain announced-but-unshipped as of September 14, 2026.
The September 11 cadence statement
Directive ST-11's announcement carried the first dated statement on update rhythm since the August 13 report: until now the small team has prioritized the most severe stability issues and urgent community reports; with that foundation in place, development shifts toward the larger Early Access goals named from launch - deeper colony simulation, co-op, and new systems - and updates will arrive fewer and larger rather than as frequent small patches. Read it as a cadence commitment, not a content commitment: none of the remaining roadmap items gained a date. The ST-11 feature guide breaks down everything that directive shipped.
Already shipped from player feedback
The first week already shipped feedback-driven changes: the soldier-aging toggle and exile, automatic save backups, manual deposit quantities, and Special Creator Soldier renaming. Directive AG-25 (August 25) continued the pattern with the Colony Difficulty Customization screen (the custom colony settings panel teased in the August 18 milestone post), a broad base-performance pass, and a fix for the Steam Deck virtual-keyboard issue named in the August 13 report. Each change's directive number and date live in the patch notes guide.
How this page stays honest
The roadmap picture of August 10 cannot be checked line by line, so it is not quoted here; the image-read section above records what was seen, with its date and its limits. Everything else on this page comes from dated written announcements, and each claim links to its source. When the developers publish new roadmap statements, this page is recalibrated against them.
